Brandy Purdy is the author of several historical novels. She first became interested in history at the age of nine or ten when she read a book of ghost stories that contained a chapter about the ghost of Anne Boleyn haunting the Tower of London. As both a reader and a writer, the stories that intrigue her most are the lives of misunderstood, flawed, and damaged people, and those whose voices have been lost to history.
Emily Purdy is the pen name used for the UK editions of her books. Many of these books were given new titles for their UK release, but within the covers the text is the same as the US versions.
